Blessings from Bukidnon Seminary 08/2010

Bukidnon Seminary started the 2010-2011 school year with 118 students, eager to study the Word of God and prepare to serve Christ with their lives.

In March, 55 students graduated from Bukidnon Seminary- 37 with a Christian Training Certificate, 2 with a Diploma in Biblical Studies, 2 with a Bible Institute Diploma and 14 with a Bachelor of Religious Education.  We rejoice that they are being used of the Lord in many places.  27 of the CTC students have returned.

In April our beloved Sir Kangleon, former president and Dean of Men of BFBS, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness.  How we miss him here at the seminary!  He and Maam Del have served here for 26 years.   Maam Del is currently in the United States with her sisters.

We appreciate your prayers for our faculty and staff.

The students’ days are busy with study to prepare for serving the Lord.  On Friday afternoons, they go out to practice what they have learned by sharing Christ in three hospitals, a jail, house to house visitation and 3 elementary schools.  What wonderful opportunities the Lord has given us.  Each week decisions are made for Christ.  On weekends, they serve the Lord in various local churches.  Let us know if your church is interested in having a student.

This school year started with several other events, including a “Get Acquainted Fellowship” at RR Family Spring Resort, a prayer day, week long Bible Conference, and a Parent-Faculty Fellowship.

Please pray for our upcoming events:

  • September 6-10 ThB Theology Class (Advanced Homiletics and Church Administration) with Rev. Sam Geroy.  All pastors are invited to attend.
  •  September 21-24- Missions Week
  • November 3-5- Registration for Classes for Second Semester
  • February 15-18, 2011- Sports Fest/Seminary Week
  • March 29, 2001- Baccalaureate/ Commencement

We have started construction on an Audio Visual Building.  More funds are needed to complete this project.  We would appreciate any gifts towards the building or the general expenses of the school, which are greatly in need at this time.  We have appreciated your support in the past!!  We thank the Lord for your partnership in training young people to serve the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
