What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1 NLT). It is with faith that Operation Jabez, a project to replace the old main building, was envisioned several months ago. Now we have taken the first step to this journey of faith.
January 31, 2015, Saturday at seven-thirty in the morning, foundation was laid for the future main building. Engr. Ivory Medel, a pastor’s kid, headed the project. Dr. Edwin Bicar and some faculty members were present together with thirteen male students who volunteered. We also remember people here and abroad who may not be present physically but whom God used to support this endeavor financially and through their faithful prayers.
The dream was conceived, the plan was set, and the foundation was laid. This first single step is like a mustard seed. And if we have faith even as small as the mustard seed, we can move mountains. Praise God for giving us faith for that first single step!
